About us

E123 Mission House is a partnership between four churches and 2 Christian housing associations. Here's a little about each of us:

Bethnal Green Mission Church is a small, multi-racial church based in the heart of a bustling and vibrant area of Tower Hamlets. We are a diverse group of people living and working in the borough and who are committed to being authentic disciples of Jesus in the complexities and challenges of urban life. www.bethnalgreenmissionchurch.co.uk

Victoria Park Baptist Church: Bow is a vibrant mix of old and new. Alongside the famous Roman Road with its traditional street market are the futuristic earth shelter buildings of Mile End Park. We aim to “tell and be Good News in the community.“ We have our own building which is used by both church and community projects. Our fellowship is very diverse from various continents, cultures and backgrounds. Our strengths are our worship together, good hospitality and commitment to children, youth and family. We encourage discipleship to Jesus and a reaching out to make a difference locally and globally. www.vpbc.org.uk

Salvation Army Stepney is a community-based church planted in Stepney by The Salvation Army in 2003. We love the community in which we live and serve. A whole variety of people, from many backgrounds, are involved in our activities and meetings. Our key focus is demonstrating our committment to Jesus through building relationships across faith and culture. We work closely with children, families and those on the margins of society with a particular emphasis on working for social justice. https://www.salvationarmy.org.uk/stepney

E1Community Church is a small church that seeks to be a Jesus centred community in the area of Tower Hamlets that makes up much of the E1 postcode. So as our name suggests we are first a local church where the worship is relevant to where we live and our life together is not only good for us but also for the wider community. Though we are a small church of about 20 adults and 15 children we invest in lots of Kingdom initiatives including: a church led community for those who are often isolated, a Homeless Night Shelter, summer camps for children and adults and an active children and youth programme. www.e1cc.org.uk

Victoria Park Homes (1965) Ltd, often known as VPH65, was founded in the 1960s by a Christian benefactor who wished to provide homes for Christians in inner-city areas to be salt and light in their communities and to enable creative ventures in urban mission to take root and grow. We know that a lack of housing hampers mission and we want to do something about that. VPH65 is registered as a Housing Association (or Registered Social Landlord) with the Tenant Services Authority but has never received public funding. VPH65 is governed by a management committee of Christians who themselves are active in their local churches and community and wish to enable others to do the same.
